After finishing my Bloodstone blog tour and a writing project, I’ve got a few days’ space to catch my breath. Fall is my favorite season, so I’m delighted it’s still going strong in my part of the world. Today we had mild temperatures in the 70s. It’ll get colder toward the end of the week, but I like brisk days–”turtleneck weather”–too.
I’ve got my work cut out for me, though. Even though we have a small back yard, it’s currently ankle-deep in leaves.
And the tree hasn’t finished dropping them yet.
Still, I’m looking forward to grabbing a rake and getting to work. After weeks of spending most of my time sitting in front of a computer, there’s something satisfying about physical work. (Of course, when my shoulders are aching and I’ve got blisters on my hands, I’ll be more than ready to go back to writing.)
Happy fall!
