Boston’s diverse South End is known for its architecture and great restaurants, not its body count. So when mutilated human corpses begin turning up in the area, the entire city takes notice. The killer—dubbed the South End Reaper—uses a curved blade for his grisly work. And even though there’s no real evidence pointing to a paranormal culprit, the deaths are straining the already-tense relations between Boston’s human and inhuman residents.
As the bodies pile up, Vicky, her formidable aunt Mab, and her werewolf boyfriend Kane investigate, only to find that the creature behind the carnage is after something much more than blood…
Advance praise for Bloodstone:
“An ancient feud and a serial killer give demon slayer Victory Vaughn more than a little trouble in the third installment of Holzner’s vivid and butt-kicking Deadtown series. Holzner uses Welsh mythology and an intriguing twist on vampires to place Vicky and her friends smack in the middle of a very nasty mess. Make sure you reserve a place for Holzner’s novels on your bookshelf.”

Can’t wait to read this book! I just finished the other ones, and saw this one was coming, so good luck in finishing this one. Hope Vicky wins once again!

Thanks, Kathy! I’m glad you’re enjoying the series so far. Bloodstone is on track for late-September publication. As for winning … well, I won’t give anything away, but winning often comes at a price.

The book was originally scheduled for December, so it almost was like waiting for Christmas.
I was really happy when Ace was able to fit it into the schedule a few months earlier, and I’m hoping they’ll do the same for book 4. A year is a long time to wait! I’m glad you’re enjoying the series so far.

Happy early birthday!
Glad the timing works out for that. I was glad my publisher could move it up from December.

Only have about 50 pages left in Hellforged and trying not to gobble them up…but its all I want to do!! Thank you so much Nancy for books that have a nice balance of butt kicking and romance. Enough sugar to make you smile but the tart lemon to keep you coming back for more!

I hope you enjoyed those last 50 pages. They’re pretty action-packed.

Hi Nancy
Just read your first two Deadtown books. Very impressed, some really good urban fantasy right there. Goodwork on the background and the metaplot. Looking forward to see where you take it.

What fantastic books!! Ilona Andrews blogged about your Deadtown book being great. I bought it that same evening. (two days ago) Now I’ve just finished Hellforged and am chomping at the bit for the next one. Good timing for me. I don’t have to wait terribly long. Maybe I can re-read these two and savor the details slowly on the 2nd read through. Thanks Nancy!

Thanks, Ruby! I can’t tell you how thrilled I was when I first read Ilona’s blurb for Deadtown. I’ve been a fan since Magic Bites.
And I’m really happy that you enjoyed Deadtown and Hellforged. I hope you’ll enjoy Bloodstone just as much.

I have been searching and searching for a new series to get caught up in when I found your Deadtown Books. I absolutely love them! I cannot get enough of Vicky and her sassy attitude =) I didn’t want to put them down and I read them so fast that I had to reread them just to make sure I didn’t miss anything! Can’t wait to go scoop up Bloodstone to see where it takes me!
