Around the Web

If you’ve been wanting to read a review of Deadtown (and you haven’t picked up the latest copy of Romantic Times), you don’t have to wait any longer. Abigail has posted an early review at All Things Urban Fantasy. Here’s how she sums up her reaction to Deadtown:

Deadtown is a welcome addition to the urban fantasy landscape. Nancy imbues a an emotional aspect into her debut that resonates with our own past prejudices and fears and forces us to evaluate our beliefs about this unreal world in a very real way. There is a lot of great action, social commentary, and a dash of romance in Deadtown. The world building, borrowing heavily from Welsh mythology, is fresh and complex. Vicky is instantly likable and realistically tough yet vulnerable. And I can’t wait to read more.

Read the entire review here. And while you’re at All Things Urban Fantasy, don’t forget to vote for your favorite urban fantasy covers of 2009.

Also, urban fantasy author (and fellow blogger at Good Girls Bad Juju) Sean Cummings has added Deadtown to his Christmas Reading Wish list. See why here.

I’m going on the road (virtually) to promote Deadtown with a blog tour. If you missed my interview on Joylene Nowell Butler’s blog, you can read it here. And tomorrow, I’ll be at Dark Faerie Tales (a gorgeous site worth visiting just for the aesthetics but with tons of great content, too). Stop by for a chance to win a copy of Deadtown.

Finally, we’re planning a New Year’s Eve Party, Deadtown Style for December 31 at Book Obsessed. Find out how Deadtown’s zombies and other paranormals ring in the New Year—and enter for a chance to win a fun prize package! (In case you haven’t noticed, I love to give stuff away. Like in my Countdown to Deadtown contest, going on throughout December, which you can enter here.)

I’m adding new events all the time, so check out my Contests, News, & Events page to see the latest!
