Back in August 2009, my first novel, Peace, Love, and Murder, was released by Five Star, a small press that publishes hardcovers for libraries. Peace, Love, and Murder is a mystery set in a fictional upstate New York college town. It features Bo Forrester, who grew up on a commune and rebelled against his hippie parents at age 18 by running off to join the Army. Twenty years later, Bo is back and hoping to reconcile. But the commune where he grew up is now a subdivision, and his parents have moved on without a forwarding address.
Pondering his next move, Bo takes a job driving a cab. His troubles start when a routine traffic stop reveals a body in the trunk . . .
I had a lot of fun writing this book. It’s got humor, quirky characters, lots of action, and a bit of romance. If you like amateur sleuth mysteries, I think you’ll find it fun, too.
